Jaguar 2000 S-Type Water Leak

Many of you have reason to be concerned about water leaking into the trunk area.  I was not concerned until I was cleaning the trunk and found water in the tire area.  Jaguar has addressed the issue with TSB S501-09.  In the photos below I identified a few areas that I found on my 2000 S-Type that caused my leak and hope it will help to identify your problem should you have one and fix it with a silicone caulk.  The trunk lid seal marked with 1 ¼” above the channel is an unlikely place to look unless it is filled with debris.  You do not want to ignore this situation because it can allow water to enter your electrical equipment that is located in the trunk and you do not want that.
