Jaguar Convertible Ram & Latch Rebuilds

 

I recently came across a company “Top Hydraulics” that will rebuild the roof Rams and Latch for any 1997 – 2007 XK8 & XKR at a fraction of the replacement price.  I personally have not had any experience with them yet so if you have please let me know.  I will list what I do know so you can make the choice.

The process for the repairs is that you remove the rams and send them to them to be rebuilt. They do not have an exchange program just yet but they can repair both the left and the right ram.  For those who do not know the left and right rams are not the same, the one on the right facing forward has two micro switches that are critical in the operation of the roof and windows.  The left ram replacement is $350.00 +/- a few and the right is $500.00 +/- a few.  This price can vary depending on where you get them.  Top Hydraulics can rebuild your existing left & right rams for $150.00 each plus shipping and offer you a warranty for three years, parts only.
