2010 Jaguar XF 5.0 Window Reset

When the power / battery is disconnected on the car your windows will not operate in the automatic feature.  The fix is to reprogram the window operation.  The automatic operation is the one touch of opening or closing of the windows.

XF Reset Procedure

Get in the car, close the door and turn the ignition on and turn off the radio and A/C.

In the driver’s seat push the window button for the window that needs to be reset to OPEN the window.  When the window is fully OPEN continue to hold the window button until you hear a click or for about 2 seconds.  If you do not hear the click release the window button then operate the button OPEN again and you should hear a click.  If you did then CLOSE the window and hold it until you hear the click or for about 2 seconds.  Again if you did not hear the click release the window then operate the window button CLOSED again.

Test your window and if it works in auto you are good.  If not, try the reprogram procedure again.

Do this procedure for all the windows that need to be reset.
